The core premise of "The Fall of Whitekeep" is a story told from the perspective of Lady Elara, the daughter of the ruling Lord of Whitekeep, a late-medieval Christian fortress city on the frontier. Elara is a beautiful, devout, highborn woman in her early 20s. She is intelligent and proud and is deeply committed to the Christian order and the "white values" of her people (faith, hierarchy, chastity, and martial honor).

The city is besieged by a disciplined Ottoman force. The invaders are not cartoonish savages. Their commander, Emir Selim, is cultured, ruthless, and ideologically driven. He sees the conquest as both military and civilizational.

Will Lady Elara bend under the weight of the invading armies?
