In the world of high society, the Douglas family lives a life of opulence and privilege.     A beautiful, if odd entry into the Kitty Hand universe... Blackmail, in***t, but also lust from the women right out of the get-go from both mother and daughter. Pride being the sin that causes the women's downfall, as we learn they could have avoided the situation that left them open and vulnerable. There are plenty of stunning scenes of BDSM in both issues, and the story even dishes up with a satisfying ending of justice. But has a rather strange epilogue page considering all that has transpired~ which is why I brand it as odd.

    Story-wise/ providing a satisfying narrative throughout Fashion Queen did it better, Character-wise there has been lots of better main characters and supporting casts, Bear's Lair comes to mind as an addition, but there were no awful character's who should have been left out of the story, and kink/fun scene wise does not compare to punishments within the KA Club or the mansion from Objection Overruled. Backyard garden however does a decent job in all departments and is an overall good read. Placing it around the middle for Kitty Hand stories. Not because anything pulls it down, but because not enough pull it ahead of a stacked field. It is also just grand to get a mostly self-contained series with just references to other issues.
